MERLOT ATHESIM FLUMEN
The Merlot has been cultivated in our area for over one hundred years. The favourable soil and climate conditions have given it the characteristics of a great wine.
It is a rich deep red colour, with an aroma of blackberries and plum. By aging in oak barrels the aroma is refined and takes on spiced aromas that are reminiscent of tobacco and vanilla, while the taste becomes dry and quite tannic, helping to develop a subtle toasted aftertaste.
This wine should accompany stewed or roast meats, and is excellent with matured cheeses.
Best served at a temperature of 18 – 20°C.
